NAO
  • Voice synthesis :
  • NAO is equipped with a speech synthesis allowing to make it speak as the people. It can also download jokes and tell them.


  • Cameras :
  • Two cameras on the front allow him to see a person of 1m80 of the head in the foot at a distance of 1m50. They also allow him to follow persons and to give him a more "human" side.


  • Emotions :
  • The NAO robot was conceived with the aim of retranscribing feelings what is going to allow him for example when it is disappointed to kiss the head and the shoulders, to look at its feet.


  • Voice recognition :
  • This recognition allows him to recognize the voices and to register them in its memory, it possesses equal a visual recognition and keeps in memory faces.


  • Embedded CPU with Wi-Fi :
  • The presence of the Wi-Fi allows him to connect directly in a computer or a router. He can also communicate with another robot in premises via Wi-Fi in ad hoc (wireless network capable of getting organized without infrastructure defined beforehand).


  • Prehensive hands :
  • NAO possesses two fingers articulated by hand wich they allow him to catch objects.


  • LiPo Battery :
  • This battery allow to have forms more worked than the other batteries, has a low weight and is more resistant than the other batteries. It has 90 minutes of autonomy.


  • Linux OS :
  • The robot is equipped with the OS Linux to ensure an affordable price. It has certainly a system integrated LINUX bu it is also compatible with Windows and Mac OS.


  • 25 degrees of freedom :
  • NAO has 14 to 25 degrees of freedom wich allow it to move smoothly.


  • 23'' (58cm) :
  • A robot 23'' (58cm) in height and 4.8kg moving on two feet, not impressive ?
